I had the pleasure of working with Amy and Jim a few weeks before their May wedding. They chose the classic love song “All The Way” by Frank Sinatra for their first dance. I wasn’t very familiar with this song when we began our lessons; however, you can almost never go wrong with Frank and this song certainly does not disappoint. All The Way is a wonderful first dance song for a classic and classy wedding and I’m sure Amy and Jim looked as stunning and dapper on dance floor as a modern-day Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
Amy and Jim shared their first dance in the recently renovated Foundation for the Carolinas building in uptown Charlotte. I can’t wait to see more pictures and the video (gasp!) of their first dance.
Until then, I leave you with Frank and his perfect lyrics. What a lovely way to begin a life together as husband and wife. Congratulations, Amy and Jim!
When somebody loves you
It’s no good unless he loves you all the way
Happy to be near you
When you need someone to cheer you all the way
Taller than the tallest tree is
That’s how it’s got to feel
Deeper than the deep blue sea is
That’s how deep it goes if it’s real
When somebody needs you
It’s no good unless he needs you all the way
Through the good or lean years
And for all the in-between years come what may
Who knows where the road will lead us
Only a fool would say
But if you’ll let me love you
It’s for sure I’m gonna love you all the way all the way
So, if you’ll let me love you
It’s for sure I’m gonna love you all the way all the way
